ABHASH ACHARYA

I am currently working as a Senior Lecturer and the Head of Department of Civil Engineering at Aryan School of Engineering, Mid-Baneshwor, Kathmandu. I completed my Masters degree in Transportation Engineering and Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from Pulchowk Campus.

I have more than six years of teaching experience in various engineering colleges affiliated to Tribhuvan University, Pokhara University and Purbanchal University. I have been delivering lectures on Soil Mechanics, Foundation Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Transportation Planning and Engineering, Traffic and Transport Modeling and Research Methodology and also have been supervising Final Year Projects to BE Civil Students.

I have been facilitating various trainings and workshops as a trainer for various organizations.

My research interests includes transportation planning, simulation and modeling, scenario analysis that aids to policy formulation and development. My recent research involves Feasibility Study of a Motorcycle Lane: Evaluation of Travel Time and Delay Impacts at New Baneshwor Intersection. Currently, I am involved in research regarding Congestion Pricing and feasibility of dedicated bus lanes in Kathmandu Valley.

As a consultant, I am involved in various transportation related developmental projects including design, planning and management.

As a Director of Sikaune EduTech Pvt. Ltd., I have been involved in designing courses and packages to meet the expectation of Nepalese Engineering Students. Sikaune aims in delivering quality field trainings, software trainings that equips engineers in Nepal to excel their potential to meet market expectation
